Van Wert City Police reports

12/7 8:49 p.m.

Johnny Ray Bowersock, 53, of Van Wert, was arrested for domestic violence in the 800 block of Main Street.

12/8 4:01 p.m.

Dustyn JF Taylor, 26, of Van Wert, was arrested for domestic violence after an incident that had taken place in the 200 block of South Tyler Street.

12/9 1:31 a.m.

Joshua D. Sargent, 36, of Van Wert, was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Van Wert Municipal Court.

12/11 4:20 p.m.

Catlin D. Chrisman, 31, of Van Wert, was arrested for domestic violence.

12/12 8:10 a.m.

Michael D. Grunden, 22, of Cecil, was arrested for several outstanding warrants during an investigation into a stolen vehicle at the Van Wert Walmart parking lot.

Van Wert Sheriff’s Office reports

12/9 9:12 p.m.

Nicholas A. Hunter, 36, of Convoy, was arrested for violating a protection order.

12/11 4:55 p.m.

Amanda R. Barnes-Hensley, 35, of Lima, was arrested on a warrant issued out of Van Wert County Common Pleas Court for an own recognizance bond violation.

12/11 4:59 p.m.

Jeramy M. Hanjora, 41, of St. Marys, was arrested on a warrant issued out of Van Wert County Common Pleas Court for a probation or community control violation.

12/11 5:06 p.m.

David J. Scott, 32, of Delphos, was arrested on a warrant for an own recognizance bond violation.

12/11 7:01 p.m.

Beth A. Wright, 48, of Convoy, was arrested on a warrant for an own recognizance bond violation.

Delphos City Police reports

On 12-07-2017, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of South Franklin Street in reference to a telecommunications harassment complaint. Upon arrival officers met with the complainant who explained that he has been receiving harassing and somewhat threatening text messages from a female. Officers are attempting to make to make contact with the female.

On 12-07-2017, officers spoke with a female in the 1400 block of East 5th Street who was receiving harassing phone calls. The female told officers that another female had called her multiple times and was being vulgar and abusive. Officers made contact with the female and advised her to cease all contact with the complainant.

On 12-10-2017, officers along with Delphos EMS were sent to the 600 block of West 6th Street after receiving a report of an unresponsive female at that location. Officers arrived and located the female who appeared to be suffering from a drug overdose. EMS personnel administered aid to the female who regained consciousness. The female, 38-year-old Bonita Fraley of Delphos, will be charged with disorderly conduct and will appear in Van Wert Municipal Court to face the charge.

On 12-10-2017, officers met with a male in the 700 block of West 2nd Street in regards to a theft incident. Upon arrival officers met with the male and were advised that an item was taken from his vehicle approximately two weeks ago. The male did not initially report the theft, but now believes that the item was recently listed on a site for sale. The incident remains under investigation.

On 12-12-2017, officers were sent to meet with a female in the 400 block of East 8th Street. Upon arrival the female told officers that her ex-husband has been harassing her through Facebook.

On 12-12-2017, officers took a report from a complainant in the 500 block of Gressel Drive. The male reported to officers that several batteries were stolen from two semi-tractors that were parked in a parking lot. The incident remains under investigation.

On 12-12-2017, officers were called to the 1100 block of North Washington Street to speak with a male who was possibly threatening to harm himself. Officers located the male and, after a brief discussion, he agreed to be transported to the hospital for evaluation.

On 12-12-2017, an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing it being operated with an equipment violation. During the traffic stop officers found that the driver, 19-year-old Caleb Gossard of Ada, was operating the vehicle on a suspended driver’s license. Gossard was issued a citation for an FRA suspension as well as the equipment violation. He will appear in Lima Municipal Court to face the charges.

On 12-13-2017, a male contacted the police department in reference to an attempted fraud. The male told officers that he owns a business in Delphos and was alerted by the bank of suspicious activity. The bank told the business owner that someone was attempting to cash a check in Cleveland that was purportedly issued by his business. The identity of the male cashing the check was obtained by the bank and the check was confiscated. The incident remains under investigation.
