Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018

Elijah Staude, 20, Van Wert, admitted to violating his probation by not finishing his treatment at Westwood. He was sentenced to 2 years community control under the same conditions as before plus 30 days jail with credit for 20 days already served; an additional 30 days in jail is to be served at a later date. He was ordered to complete all programs required by probation and pay monthly probation fee plus court costs.

ARRAIGNMENTS (All entered not guilty pleas)

Eric Bowers, 31, Van Wert, was arraigned for domestic violence, F4, and two counts of felonious assault, F2. Bond was set at $100,000 cash or commercial surety and pretrial was set for Jan. 17, 2018 at 8 a.m.

Nowelle Finger, 26, Van Wert, was arraigned for complicity in robbery, F1. Her bond was set at $10,000 cash or commercial surety and pretrial was set for Jan. 17, 2018 at 8 a.m.

Zach Germann, 30, Van Wert, was arraigned for possession of LSD, F5. He was released on a surety bond with pretrial set for Jan. 24, 2018 at 8 a.m.

Justin Landis, 23, New Haven, Indiana, was arraigned for breaking and entering, F5. He was released on a surety bond with a waiver of extradition and pretrial set for Jan. 24, 2018 at 8 a.m.

Kevin Linton, 30, Convoy, was arraigned for illegal use of food stamp benefits, F5. He was released on a surety bond with pretrial set for Jan. 24, 2018 at 8 a.m.

James Neumeier, 27, Celina, was arraigned for gross sexual imposition, F3. He was released on a surety bond with an order to have no contact with the victim or her family. Pretrial was set for Jan. 24, 2018 at 8 a.m.

William Ramsey, 36, Woodburn, Indiana, was arraigned for breaking and entering, F5. He was released on a surety bond with a waiver of extradition and pretrial set for Jan. 24, 2018 at 8 a.m.

Thomas West, 53, Middle Point, was arraigned for domestic violence, F4. He was released on a surety bond with an order to have no contact with the victim. Pretrial was set for Jan. 31, 2018 at 8 a.m.

TIME WAIVER

Dwaine Watts, 31, Ottawa, signed a time waiver in open court and requested additional time to prepare his case.

PROBATION VIOLATION

Antin Bartley, 23, Van Wert, admitted to violating his probation by testing positive for drugs. He was sentenced to 13 months prison with credit for 255 days served.

SENTENCING

Tawnie Johnson, 28, Van Wert, was sentenced for aggravated possession of drugs, F5. She was sentenced to 5 years community control, up to 6 months at WORTH Center, 60 days jail at later date, 200 hours community service, ordered to obtain employment, drug court evaluation, 3 years intensive probation, and ordered to pay court costs, partial appointed counsel fees and monthly probation fee.

James Freeman, 68, Williamsburg, Kentucky, was sentenced for driving under suspension, M1, and was sentenced to 180 days jail with 90 suspended, 3 years community control, substance abuse assessment and treatment, operator’s license suspended one year, ordered to not operate any vehicle without a license and insurance, and was given credit for 8 day served. Jail begins Feb. 1, 2018 at 2 p.m. unless case is a $5,000 cash or commercial surety bond is posted for an appeal.
