    VAN WERT – In January of 1976, Van Wert native Linda Sidle started working for the IRS in the Cincinnati area. At that time, she served the government organization doing data transcribing. That was the beginning of a 38-year career in which she advanced to various positions in serving both the government and assisting tax payers in getting refunds and various forms of rebates they were entitled to in their encounters with the IRS.

    KANEOHE, Hawaii (AP) — Attorneys for a divorced lesbian couple fighting over child support in a closely watched case agreed Thursday that consent to having a baby together is a crucial issue but disagreed over whether both spouses gave it.

  • Van Wert Robotics Team competes at FIRST Tech State Qualifier

    VAN WERT — Last weekend, the Van Wert Robotics team started off the season by going to the FIRST Tech State Qualifier in Dayton, Ohio. The team won three out of six matches and earned a spot in the semi-finals. The team finished second in the finals.
