In 1995, the American Spiritual Ensemble was founded by Dr. Everett McCorvey. Since then, they have been performing the music of the great African American spirituals in this country and beyond. This diverse group has impressed audiences around the world including the patrons of the Niswonger Performing Arts Center of Northwest Ohio. Returning by popular demand on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, tickets are now on sale through the box office, by phone at (419) 238-6722, or online at www.npacvw.org or Facebook.

For the past seventeen years, the American Spiritual ensemble has been celebrating the negro spiritual. They have preserved the voices of the past so that they are still heard today. Each member is a soloist of their own with voices of such energy. When all sixty of them are brought together, they create a sound that is unmatched by any other choir.

This ensemble has been heard across the globe. They have performed in Europe, South America, Spain and of course here at home in the United States. No matter where they travel, they bring a warmth that is appreciated by every audience. The American Spiritual Ensemble has been said to transmit a feeling of internal happiness. This is a show that is sure to end in bravos and will leave the listeners wanting more.

Tickets for this show are $20 and available beginning Tuesday, Nov. 13 at noon at the NPAC box office at 10700 SR 118 S., Van Wert or by phone at (419) 238-6722. Tickets are also available online at www.npacvw.org or on the Niswonger Performing Arts Center of NW Ohio Facebook page.
