Well, they've done it again! Off Stage Productions opens its fall season with the blockbuster, "Sex Please We're Sixty!" A six-actor cast explores the female menopausal period with a variety of ideas, along with a promising new concoction. Each of the six is affected in one way or another and it makes for surprising results, bathed in laughter.
It all takes place at a successful Bed & Breakfast in the New England area and each character gets involved in the drama that surrounds the newly invented "little blue pill," designed to increase a lady's libido. Three of the four ladies in the play are guests at the Bed and Breakfast and the fourth runs the business. The two gentlemen are neighborhood guys who spend a lot of time there, and one, "Bud the Stud" preys on the lady visitors. The other fellow is a chemist and inventor of the "little blue pill."
Each of the six actors is so believable and laughter is abundant, from the very start. This is a great opportunity to appreciate local talent in a comfortable setting.
The play is directed by Linda McClure and will be presented Oct. 5, 6, 7, 12, and 13 at The Van Wert County Senior Center, located at 220 Fox Road, south of the Van Wert Fairgrounds. Showtime is 8:00, following a catered dinner, by Grants Catering, at 7 o'clock. Doors open at 6:30 p. m. Tickets are $22, which covers the meal and the play. You can make reservations by calling (419) 605-6708.
If you want to kick back and spend an evening that includes good food, great entertainment and endless camaraderie, get your tickets now and pass this advice onto others in your family and circle of friends. It will rank as "A Night to Remember!"
