Mercer County Council on Aging plans first garage sale of 2013

CELINA - A six-day garage sale sponsored by the Mercer County Council on Aging (MCCOA) will be held Jan. 31 - Feb. 5, at the Senior Citizen Center, Celina. This is the first of four garage sales planned for 2013.
Donations will be accepted Jan. 7 through Jan. 19. On weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays, Jan. 12 and Jan. 19 from 8 a.m. to noon.
Garage sale hours are Thursday (first day of sale) from 8:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., weekday sale hours will be 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. "Bag Days" are Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The customer selects the merchandise to fill the bag. Sunday, a brown paper grocery sack may be filled with shoes, purses, bedding, towels, fabric, curtain, drapes and other clothing for $3, Monday for $2 and Tuesday, the final day of the sale, the price is $1 per bag with a second bag free. On Tuesday, any remaining housewares are included in the bag sale price.
Customers should park in the Center's east parking lot, the west lot in the fairgrounds or use street parking. The swimming pool parking lot may also be used during this garage sale.
Customers may not park in the Mercer County EMS/DARE parking lot north of the Senior Center.
Senior volunteers from throughout the county help with the sale.
Clothing not sold at the sale will be donated to the Salvation Army, Dayton, Ohio.
