VAN WERT - The St. Mary of the Assumption Church and School will hold its annual fundraising auction on Saturday, April 20 at 5 p.m. in the school gymnasium. The theme for the evening is a Night Under the Big Top and there will be a meal, a large variety of items to bid on, cash prizes, and a 50/50 raffle. Tickets for the meal are $10 for adults and $5 for children. The evening's menu includes chicken in a white parmesan sauce, cheesy potatoes, green beans, garlic bread, salad bar and various desserts.

The evening's festivities will include both a live and silent auction. Back by popular demand will be a puppy package including a puppy, vaccination and supplies. Additional items included in this year's auction are:

· a motorcycle donated by Greve Chrysler, Dodge & Jeep;

· Coronado 15 ft sailboat with trailer donated by the Anderson family;

· jewelry box made by Glen Jenkins;

· gift certificates to the Niswonger Performing Arts Center;

· 2 patron badges to the Memorial Gold Golf Tournament;

· a gas grill; and

· a variety of services, gift baskets, gift certificates and other items.

All proceeds from the auction will go to benefit the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic School.

St. Mary of the Assumption is the only Christ-centered school in Van Wert County offering classes for grades K through 6.
