VAN WERT - The YWCA in conjunction with Van Wert Manor welcomes guest speaker Christina Eversole to the YWCA on April 25 at 12 p.m. Christina Eversole is the executive director of Van Wert County Victim Services, Inc. This presentation is free to the public and includes lunch. Lunch service will begin at 11:45 am with the presentation immediately to follow.
This free educational lunch is to help spread awareness of National Crime Victims Rights Week, April 21-27. The purpose of NCVRW is to promote victims' rights and honor crime victims and those who advocate on their behalf. At this event Ms. Eversole will be discussing some of the victim facts and statistics of our county and educate those attending on ways to protect themselves. She will be discussing things the general public can do to try to alleviate the chances of becoming victims. Also the YWCA Housing Program Director Jamie Evans, will share information on the YWCA's new domestic violence services.
