Another drug house raided in Delphos

Another suspected drug house was raided Friday morning in Delphos by agents from the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force. The warrant was served at 317 N. Bredeick St. after an investigation by task force members.Around 10:15 a.m., task force members and Allen County Sheriff's Office Swat Team searched the home and found what they called "a moderate quantity" of both pharmaceutical pills and suspected drug paraphernalia, including hypodermic syringes. Also discovered was a small amount of suspected marijuana and a moderate quantity of cash. All these items were seized as evidence.
Inside the house were five adults and one child, but one of the adults, a 21-year-old man was the focus of officers. That man is suspected of making illegal drug sales originating from this house. The others in the home are family members of the 21-year-old and are not suspected of any wrongdoing. The name of the suspect will be released once he is formally charged.
Friday's raid marks the 14th drug-related search warrant executed in Delphos since November 2011. During 2012 there were 18 people arrested in Delphos on 52 separate drug-related indictments.
The West Central Ohio Crime Task Force is made up of officers from the Allen County Sheriff's Office, Van Wert County Sheriff's Office, Lima Police Department, Delphos Police Department and several state and federal agencies. This task force operates within a multi-county area to combat drugs and major crimes.
