Many of you enjoyed the U.S. Army Field Band & Soldier's Chorus concert last Thursday night at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center... and who wouldn't? It was first-class professional from beginning to end, including three encores! We packed close to a capacity house to see the show. The Times-Bulletin Media helped us sponsor the show and it was a huge success.

I wanted to write the Army and thank them on behalf of so many of you who attended and expressed your gratitude. Since I was writing on behalf of so many of you, I would like for you to see what I wrote. It is included below:

To whom it may concern:

I feel compelled to write on behalf of the over 1100 audience members who attended the U.S. Army Field Band & Soldiers' Chorus concert on November 8, 2012 at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center of NW Ohio, located in Van Wert, Ohio. It is hard to put into words how much our audience enjoyed the performance. I honestly don't think we would have enjoyed the Boston Pops any more than we did the Army Field Band. It was first-class- exactly what we expect from our Military! Not only was the music, staging and presentation first-class, but also all the soldiers we worked with in preparation, during and following the concert.

I have told Commander Colonel Timothy Holtan that they are welcome back anytime they can possibly make the stop in Van Wert, Ohio. Our people pack the house and appreciate our military and their service to our country. It was especially good timing to help bring us back together following a close election. The U.S. Army Field Band & Soldiers' Chorus did just that. It made 1100 people in Northwest Ohio feel proud to be Americans once again.

Please pass this on to any and all who have anything to do with funding, support, and operations with the Field Band. BRAVO! And Thanks!
