The City of Van Wert has begun tearing down some abandoned houses in the city that have become eyesores. Mayor Don Farmer confirmed this week that state funds are being used to raze four houses - 222 N. Vine St., 1001 E. Sycamore St., 310 W. Third St., and 825 W. Main. According to Farmer, the city hopes to add more homes to that list if more state funding can be obtained. Here are before and after pictures at 222 N. Vine St.
