Work on the third floor of the Van Wert County Courthouse is continuing this week. Painting on the ceiling of the Common Pleas Courtroom is being completed in anticipation of the stained glass being brought on site to complete work on the dome which covers much of the courtroom ceiling. At a project status meeting Tuesday, county and court officials were told that everything remains on schedule to this point with making the final date dependent upon how well the process of restoring the delicate stained glass is going. Plans call for most of the work to be done and ready for new carpeting in the courtroom around Nov. 1. Already the new HVAC system is functioning and much of the trim and paint work is completed.
