DELPHOS - Police in Delphos think they may have solved a series of vehicle break-ins in that city.
Devon M. Schoffner, 20, Delphos is being held on a $25,000 cash bond with ten percent privilege and is facing charges in Allen County and a parole violation in Putnam County. He is being housed in the Putnam County Jail after pleading not guilty Friday afternoon in Lima Municipal Court to a pair of felony counts of receiving stolen property.

Delphos Police had been conducting an investigation into the break-ins and quickly developed a suspect. An undercover investigation resulted in Schoffner's arrest on Oct. 18 after he allegedly sold stolen property to an undercover officer. The undercover operation took place in the 900 block of E. Fifth St. in Delphos.

Schoffner was taken to Putnam County to be held since he is on felony probation from a drug trafficking conviction earlier this year in Putnam County Court of Common Pleas. He must face the probation violation charge first in Putnam County. After those charges are answered, Schoffner will then face the receiving stolen property charges in Allen County. Police officers will be conferring with prosecutors about possible further charges. Warrants may still be issued for persons who may have been involved with Schoffner at the time of the thefts. No further information was made available.
