Local school officials serve on OSBA committees

VAN WERT - The Ohio School Board Association (OSBA) has named three local school officials to serve on OSBA committees. Committee appointments were finalized at the January meeting of the OSBA Board of Trustees. Eric Germann, Kevin Landin, and Karl Schimmoeller, will each be serving the OSBA in leading their schools to educational excellence and will be counted upon to represent surrounding districts through their service and advocacy.Germann is a member of the Lincolnview Locals Schools district, board of education president, and has now taken on the responsibility of several committees. He will be serving with the board of trustees, capital conference planning task force, federal relations network, legislative platform, and northwest regional executive committees. Germann will be participating in a variety of activities including lobbying for federal issues, assisting in state and federal legislative efforts, and providing governance and leadership to school board members throughout Ohio.
Landin is a member of the Ottoville Loccal Schools district and Vantage Career Center. Landin has been named to the northwest regional executive committee. He along with Germann will step into leadership roles to guide surrounding school board districts.
Schimmoeller is a member of the Jennings Local Schools district and also Vantage Career Center. He has been named to the small school district advisory network committee (SSDAN). As part of the SSDAN, Schimmoeller will be responsible for helping to advise the OSBA executive director of the needs and concerns of the small school districts throughout the state.
