One person was killed Wednesday in a two-car crash at the intersection of Convoy and Dutch John roads in northern Van Wert County.
Authorities say that Vineet N. The Traverse ended up with the front of the vehicle in a ditch.
The driver of the sports car, Tamela S. Gibson, 41, Scott was pronounced dead at the scene by Van Wert County Coroner Dr. Scott Jarvis. Both Parkhe and passenger Daniel S. Stoecker, 25, Babylon, New York, of the Traverse were taken to Van Wert Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is continuing the investigation of the crash. Assisting at the scene was the Van Wert County Sheriff's Office, Convoy Fire Department and Van Wert Fire & EMS. (Times Bulletin/Ed Gebert)
