MENDON, Ohio - Clora Genevra Barker, 90, of Mendon, died Thursday, Jan. 17 at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born April 1, 1922, in Van Wert County, to Carl and Sara (McCoy) Mohler.
On March 18, 1943, Clora was married to Charles Barker, who preceded her in death on Oct. 8, 2003.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law: Elaine and Jerry Steiner of Mendon, two granddaughters: Holly (Andy) Smith of Celina and Valerie (Jim) Scatena of Minneapolis, MN, and five great-grandsons: Dalton and Logan Smith and Vincent, Dominick and Joey Scatena.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister: Frank Mohler and Edith Rhodes.
Clora had attended Convoy Union High School. She was a homemaker and retired from National Seal after 30 years of service, where she had worked in the spring department. She enjoyed taking pictures, working on plastic canvas needlepoint, crocheting, and visiting with friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21 at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20 and one hour before time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
