Jeannine ‘Gus’ Sinn
PAULDING, Ohio — Jeannine “Gus” W. Sinn, 79, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was born April 30, 1937, in Van Wert County, Ohio, the daughter of Harold and Maxine (Wilson) Tarlton.

On June 8, 1958, she married her husband and sweetheart, Larry L. Sinn, who survives.

She retired from B.F. Goodrich of Woodburn, Indiana, in 1993. She worked at the Paulding County Courthouse prior to that.

She was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Briceton, Ohio. She was a delegate for the Wernle Children’s Home in Richmond, Indiana. She was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Wayne Trace High School Raiders fan.

She loved to camp and spent many summers at the campground. She was also the proudest mother of her daughter, Robin Sinn, and a grandson, Sammy, of Defiance, Ohio, who also survive.

Preceding her in passing are her parents; three brothers-in-law, Don Sinn, Richard Sinn and Dale Yoh; a sister, Tootie Yoh, and her in laws: Lawrence and Estie Sinn.

Gus is survived by her brother, Clifford (Jill) Tarlton of Tucson, Arizona, and sisters-in-law, Juleah Sinn of Latty, Ohio, and Diane Sinn of New Haven, Indiana. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Lora (Mark) Doty and Skip (Marcie) Tarlton of Tucson, Arizona, Vicki Hagen of Titusville, Florida, Tina (Rob) Hazelton of Lakeville, Minnesota, Denise (Lowell) Yawn of Rhine, Georgia, Jeri (Adam) Seeger of Madison, Wisconsin, Jenny (Travis) Brummond of Chelsea, Michigan, Tony (Kate) Sinn of Cleveland, Ohio, Becky VanFleet of Peoria, Arizona, Gene (Sharon) Sinn of Defiance, Ohio, Tom (Laurie) Sinn, Perry (Annette) Sinn, Mike (Barb) Sinn, all of Latty Ohio, Bobbi (Ken) Macy of Waterloo, Indiana.

Gus had 11 grand nieces and nephews and a special family friend, Adrianne Batt, besides her church family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at St. John Lutheran Church in Briceton Ohio. Pastor Karen Stetins will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Paulding.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at the Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, from 2 to 8 p.m. There will also be visitation at the church Friday morning one hour prior to services — from 10 to 11 a.m.
