VAN WERT - Kenneth David Linton, 65, of York Township, Van Wert County, died at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at CHP Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert.
He was born April 5, 1947, in Van Wert, to Lewis M. and Elizabeth "Betty" (Lauck) Linton of rural Van Wert.
His wife, Judy (Christian) Linton, survives. They were married June 26, 1971.
Survivors include a son: Matthew (Tara) Linton of Van Wert; a daughter: Jennifer Linton at home; a sister: Rosemary (Larry) Ingle-Murphy of North Carolina, and a grandchild: Cheyenne Linton.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Vicki Linton.
He was a journeyman tool and die maker and owned and operated Toolco, Inc. He had also worked at Aeroquip Corp. (Eaton) and Dana Corp. in Lima. He was a member of Kingsley United Methodist Church, a Viet Nam era veteran of U.S. Army and a 1965 graduate of Lincolnview High School.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Kingsley United Methodist Church in York Township. The Rev. Anthony Perry will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in Ridge Township. Military rites will be conducted at the gravesite by the combined honor guard of the American Legion and V.F.W. posts of Van Wert.
Calling hours are 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
Preferred memorial is Thomas Edison School or the American Cancer Society.
