CINCINNATI, Ohio - Michael E. McCall, 44, of Cincinnati, died at 6:34 a.m. Oct. 2, 2012, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 28, 1968, in Lima, Ohio, to Larry E. McCall and Sally (Vaske) McCall of Delphos. He married Tracy (DiRose) McCall of Florida.
He was a Cincinnati Reds fan and had the opportunity to throw the first pitch at a game in April. He had a love for sports, especially baseball. He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, a graduate of Wright State where he pitched on scholarship for the baseball team and earned a degree in business marketing, pre-law and psychology.
He worked for Finish Line as a regional vice president for over 18 years. He currently worked for Dollar General as a regional manager for Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. He truly loved training people to help them be the best they could be.
Survivors include stepchildren: Jim, Reece and Kami; three uncles: Ed (Sandy) Vaske of Delphos, Joseph (Joyce) Vaske of Columbus Grove, Ohio, and Charles (Christina) Vaske of Lima; two aunts: Susan Turner of Delphos and Jayne Vaske of Elida, a nephew: Brice Keeling, and one sister: Kimberly Ann McCall Keeling (John) of Delphos.
He was preceded in death by his father and uncle Jim Vaske Sr.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. John's Catholic church. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 2-8 at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, Delphos. There will be a parish wake at 7:30 Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are to the family for expenses.
