High school boys basketball teams found out their respective roads to Columbus on Sunday as boys sectional draws were held around the state of Ohio Sunday.
Crestview, Wayne Trace and Delphos St. John's all garnered seeds at their respective sectionals. The Knights are the number-one seed at the Division IV sectional in Van Wert while the Blue Jays took the second seed. Wayne Trace picked up a second seed in the Division III sectional at Defiance.
The Division II sectional at Lima Senior features eight teams from the Western Buckeye League with Lima Bath and Elida picking up the top two seeds.
In semifinal action on February 26, Lima Bath (16-3) will open the tournament by taking on Lima Shawnee (2-17). Kenton (12-7) will face St. Marys (6-13) in the second game that night with the two winners squaring off on March 1 at 6:15 p.m.
The following night (February 27), Elida (11-8) plays Van Wert (9-10) followed by Celina (9-10) and Wapakoneta (11-8). Those two winners play in the second game on March 1.
In Division II at Swanton, Defiance and Bowling Green took the top two seeds.
The top seeded Bulldogs (14-5) will play Eastwood (6-12) in the opener on February 26 while the nightcap features Otsego (16-2) against Wauseon (10-9). The two winners return on March 1 at 6:15 p.m.
On Wednesday, Napoleon (6-11) takes on Rossford (9-10) followed by Bryan (11-9) against Bowling Green (10-9). Those two victors return to play in the second game on March 1.
Division III action at Defiance saw Ottawa Glandorf take the top seed and Wayne Trace garnered the second seed.
In the opener on February 26, Hicksville (5-15) takes on Fairview (3-17) while the second game has Tinora (14-5) playing Paulding (14-5). Sectional final action on March 1 will have the Hicksville-Fairview winner taking on the Titans (16-3) while the Raiders (16-2) await the winner of Rams-Panthers contest.
At Otsego, Archbold and Evergreen picked up the two seeds.
Patrick Henry (1-16) and Swanton (5-13) will meet in the first game on February 26 with the winner coming back to battle the Blue Streaks (14-3) on March 1. Delta (10-9) takes on Liberty Center (8-11) in the second game on Tuesday with the victor returning to battle the Vikings (15-4) on March 1.
The Division III sectional at Wapakoneta has five squads from the Northwest Conference and a pair of schools from the Midwest Athletic Conference.
On February 26, Delphos Jefferson (4-14) plays Allen East (2-15) with the winner returning to battle Lima Central Catholic (17-2).
Spencerville (10-7) and Parkway (2-17) open play on February 27 followed by Bluffton (8-11) against Coldwater (7-10). Those two winners return in the nightcap on March 1.
Division IV action at Coldwater also will take place over three nights on February 26, February 27 and March 1.
Fort Recovery (16-3) plays Marion Local (7-11) on February 26 with New Bremen (17-3) awaiting the winner on March 1.
On February 27, St. Henry (17-3) plays Waynesfield Goshen (7-12) while New Knoxville (10-8) takes on Minster (11-8) in the second game. Those two winners return to play on March 1.
In Van Wert, Crestview took the top seed with Delphos St. John's picking up the second seed.
The Knights (16-3) await the winner of Ottoville (8-11) against Lima Perry (6-12) in the 6:15 p.m. game on March 1.
In the bottom bracket, Delphos St. John's (13-4) plays Fort Jennings (5-15) followed by Lima Temple Christian (14-6) against Lincolnview (8-12) in the nightcap. The two winners return to do battle in the second contest on March 1.
Division IV at Kenton has Arlington and Vanlue taking the top two seeds.
Ridgemont (8-11) plays Ada (6-12) on February 26 with the victor coming back to battle Arlington (15-4) on March 1. Vanlue (14-4) takes on Riverdale (4-14) and Upper Scioto Valley (14-4) battles Hardin Northern (3-15) in semifinal action on February 27.
Leipsic and Columbus Grove picked up the two seeds at Ottawa Glandorf.
Pandora Gilboa (4-15) takes on McComb (10-9) on February 26 while Columbus Grove (13-6) awaits the winner. Semifinal action on February 27 has Leipsic (15-4) against North Baltimore (2-16) while Cory Rawson (10-9) takes on Arcadia (2-17).
Two Buckeye Border Conference schools picked up the top two seeds at Bryan as Fayette garnered the top seed and Stryker took the second seed. The Eagles, who are 15-5, are the only team in the sectional to have a winning record.
North Central (8-11) takes on Montpelier (1-17) with Fayette playing the winner on March 1.
Pettisville (7-11) and Edon (5-14) meet in semifinal action on February 27 followed by Stryker (8-11) against Hilltop (3-16).
Edgerton (18-2) and Miller City (15-5) claimed the top two seeds in the Division IV sectional at Paulding.
The Bulldogs will take on the victor of Ayersville (11-8) against Kalida (6-12) in the first sectional championship on March 1. The Pilots and Wildcats will square off on February 26.
In semifinal action on February 27, Holgate (10-10) takes on Continental (6-12) followed by Miller City (15-5) against Antwerp (10-9).
