HICKSVILLE — The Crestview Lady Knights traveled north on St. Rte. 49
to Hicksville High School for an morning tip off against the Lady Aces
on Saturday. The Lady Knights picked up the victory 63-50.
Lady Knights opened the game with a 3-pointer from Alyssa Gent and a
foul shot from Ally McCoy to take a 4-0 lead. After Paige Motycka

The Lady Aces got a bucket from
Katelyn Bergman and a 3-point play from Taylor to cut the Crestview lead
to 35-27. The Lady Knights got a 3-pointer from Gregory and four points
Ally McCoy to push their lead to 44-29.
Hicksville was able to
cut the Crestview lead to 47-37 with baskets from Bergman and Natalie
Briskey. The Knights got four points to close out the third quarter with
a 51-37 lead.
Three points from Ally McCoy forced a Hicksville timeout with 6:42 left in the fourth quarter with Crestview up 54-39.
McCoy did a great job inside battling on defense but also on the
offense today. Lexi came in off the bench and did a good job taking care
of the basketball. At the same time, she was guarding Taylor for
Hicksville so I was asking a lot of her to guard Taylor after Lyvia
(Black) got in foul trouble,” Crestview head coach Mark Gregory said. ”
I’m proud of our overall effort; I could go down the list of girls and
every one of the girls gave us something positive today.”

3-pointer from Taylor to bring the score to 58-46, Crestview.
