CONVOY – Fans of Crestview girls basketball haven't seen many game like what they saw on Saturday at Ray Etzler Gymnasium. The Lady Knights were ice cold, shooting just 16 percent for the game, and lost to Hicksville, 44-28.

The Knights went 8-for-49 from the field and only 3-for-25 from beyond the 3-point line in the defeat. The poor shooting more than offset an otherwise strong defensive effort. Hicksville was held to just 41 percent from the floor. The Lady Aces did outrebound the Knights, 27-23, though 14 of Crestview boards came on the offensive end, resulting in 17 more shots by the home team than managed by the visitors.

Sophomore Lexi Gregory led the Knights with a dozen points, and Paige Motycka added 10, though the two of them combined to shoot just 5-for-39 from the floor.
