Lancers fall at LCC

LIMA – The top three batters in the Lima Central Catholic batter order went a combined 6-for-9 at the plate during the Thunderbirds' game against Lincolnview at Player's Field in Lima on Monday and accounted for three runs batted in. LCC held the Lancers off the board until the seventh and won the game 5-1.

Jaden Youtsey was saddled with the loss for the Lancers. He allowed five hits and three runs in 4 1/3 innings of work. Chayten Overholt collected two hits, including a double, for Lincolnview.

Antwerp outlasts Lady Cougars

VAN WERT – Antwerp scored five times in the final two innings of  softball game at Van Wert's Jubilee Park to come from behind and defeat the host Cougars 14-11 on Monday.

Van Wert was led by a three-hit day from Katie Coplin, which was part of an 11-hit Cougar effort. Antwerp's Rachel Williamson had a pair of doubles in the victory.

Miller City stops Lady Raiders

MILLER CITY – It took 10 innings on Monday, but Miller City scored a run late to defeat Wayne Trace 7-6.

The Lady Wildcats' Kylie Berner turned in stellar relief work, hurling 4 1/3 innings of shutout ball, allowing only one hit, one walk and striking out seven. Wayne Trace starter Maggie Crosby went the distance, yielding all seven runs (four earned) while striking out eight.

Lady Bearcats thump Crestview

CONVOY – Spencerville defeated Crestview Monday night in varsity softball play.  Spencerville improves to 5-6 overall (2-1 NWC) while Crestview falls to 4-8 overall (1-1 NWC).

Panthers blanked by Wapak

ROCKFORD – Maddux Liles crushed a 3-run home run to provide all the scoring in Wapakoneta's 3-0 win at Parkway on Monday.

Wapak is now 11-2 on the season.

The Panthers were limited to a lone base hit, a Trace Walls single in the second, by three Redskins pitchers. Carson Ford took the loss, allowing four hits across six innings of work.

Lady Lancers beat LCC

LIMA – Lincolnview pounded out 14 hits in a 6-2 win at Lima Central Catholic on Monday.

Every player each had at least one hit. Kayla Schroeder went 3-4. Lakin Brant, Lana Carey, and Zoe Miller each had two hits. Macala Ashbaugh had 7 strikeouts.

Lady Panthers drub St. Marys

ST. MARYS – Haley Hawk homered and drove in five runs as Parkway thumped St. Marys on Monday, winning 15-1.

Bailey Bates added 3 RBIs on a 3-for-4 day while Hawk picked up the win in the circle.

Parkway is now 8-1 on the season.
