DOLA — Parkway had four players reach double figures and blew away Hardin Northern in a non-league basketball game in Dola on Saturday night, winning 79-38.

It was the Panthers’ first Friday-Saturday sweep of the season. Parkway is now 6-12 on the season.

Parkway outrebounded the Polar Bears 42-24 overall, with 20 of the Panthers’ boards coming on the offensive end. Hardin Northern led early, going ahead by four points at 10-6 before Nick Hawk and Jeremy Feldes connected on back-to-back 3-pointers to give the Panthers the lead. Parkway wouldn’t give it back.

The Panthers led 23-16 after one quarter. Hardin Northern pulled to within one at 23-22 before the Panthers pulled away again. Two Justin Barna free throws and a Mason Baxter trey brought the lead back to six. A Jack Wehe 3-point play later made it an 11-point spread. Parkway then closed the half on an 8-0 run to lead 45-31 at the break.

Caleb Kinney lead the Panthers with 14 points. He opened the second half by converting a 3-point play, giving Parkway its largest lead to that point at 48-31. Moments later, after Hawk connected on a jumper, Kinney drew another foul while scoring and converted a second 3-point play for a 53-31 scoreboard.
