The Parkway Athletic program and Parkway Wrestling Club had a successful WAR Wrestling event this past weekend. The school wishes to thank WAR Wrestling for their part in making this event a great success.
The program was also supported by local sponsors Celina Moving and Storage and Peel's Pit Stop. These two organizations were helpful in offsetting costs to bring the show to Rockford.

Coach Kevin Browning of the Parkway Wrestling Club opened the show with some special thanks before being interrupted by WAR bad boy Jock Samson. This lead to an emptying of the locker rooms and the show was on. The community was entertained and enjoyed all the wrestlers.

"It was a great time. Where else can you enjoy an evening of entertainment for such a low price?" said Brian Fortkamp, Parkway principal. "The show was amazing, these guys are awesome," said Parkway student Preston Browning.

The money raised from this event will help the Parkway Wrestling Club purchase new wrestling mats for their program. The Parkway Wrestling Club just completed its first season and is looking forward to getting ready for another successful season.

"The show was so successful, we think we will schedule another one in the fall," Coach Browning noted when asked how he felt about the evening, "War Wrestling has been great to work with, and we feel this has been a great benefit to our program and our community."

War Wrestling is back in Action May 4 in Lima at the UAW Hall. Tickets for their next event can be purchased at www.warwrestling.com.
