VAN WERT – The following cases were seen in the Van Wert Court of Common Pleas by Judge Martin Burchfield:

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2019

SENTENCINGS

Michael Closson, 69, Delphos, was sentenced for three counts of gross sexual imposition, F3. He was sentenced to 30 months prison for each of the three counts, to run consecutive, for total of 90 months prison. He was ordered to pay costs, and also required to register as a Tier 2 Sex Offender (every 180 days for 25 years).

Justin Reynolds, 28, Van Wert, was sentenced for attempted escape, F4. He was sentenced to 16 months prison with credit for 116 days served. He was also ordered to pay costs.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2019

ARRAIGNMENTS

Adam Partin, 25, Delphos, entered a not guilty plea to charges of possession of heroin, F5, and possession of fentanyl compound, F5. He was granted a surety bond and pretrial was set for March 6, 2019, at 8 a.m.

David Seibert, 26, Van Wert, entered not guilty pleas to two counts of rape, F1, two counts of sexual battery, F3, and two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, F3. His bond was set at $50,000 cash or commercial surety and pretrial was set for March 6, 2019, at 8 a.m.

CHANGE OF PLEA

Benjamin McIntosh, 43, Delphos, changed his plea to guilty to possession of cocaine, F5. The Court ordered a presentence investigation and set sentencing for March 27, 2019, at 8 a.m.

Cyle Black, 32, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to two counts of aggravated trafficking drugs, F4. He was then sentenced to 12 months prison each count, to run concurrent, and given credit for seven days served. He was also ordered to pay costs.

VIOLATIONS

Nicole Conn, 42, Van Wert, admitted to violating her bond and her treatment in lieu program by testing positive for drugs. Bond was set at $20,000 cash or commercial surety. The Court ordered a presentence investigation and set sentencing for March 13, 2019, at 10 a.m.

Shawn Clouatre, 25, Convoy, admitted violating his bond and treatment in lieu program by testing positive for drugs. The Court ordered a presentence investigation and set sentencing for April 4, 2019, at 9 a.m. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or commercial surety.

Dustin Cooper, 34, Van Wert, admitted to violating his probation by leaving his treatment program without permission. He was sentenced to 180 days jail on each of two counts, to run consecutive, with credit for 319 days served.

Zach Germann, 31, Van Wert, denied violating his bond and treatment in lieu programs by having positive drug tests. Hearing to be scheduled.

SENTENCING

Nicole Cooper, 36, Van Wert, was sentenced for two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, F5, and one count of aggravated possession of drugs, F3. He was sentenced to five years community control from Oct. 4, 2017, drug court, and required to serve 30 days jail at later date,

Patrick Dennis, 25, Detroit, Michigan, was sentenced for grand theft of a motor vehicle, F4. He was sentenced to 60 days jail with credit for five days served, and ordered to pay restitution to the victim of $2,000, plus partial appointed counsel fees, plus costs.

Spencer Davis, 27, Van Wert, was sentenced for violating his probation. He was sentenced to four years community control, inpatient treatment, and 30 days jail at later date.

Paula Garcia, 62, Van Wert, was sentenced for possession of criminal tools, F5. He was sentenced to one year community control, 30 days jail at later date, and substance abuse and mental health evaluation. She was also ordered to pay monthly probation fee, partial appointed counsel fees, and costs.
