THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2019

ARRAIGNMENTS

Bobby Panning Jr, 22, Van Wert, pled not guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, F5. The defendant was released on a surety bond with pretrial set for Feb. 27, 2019, at 8 a.m.

Tyler Dunn, 28, Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to aggravated possession of drugs, F5, and possession of drug abuse instruments, M1. The defendant was released on a surety bond with pretrial Feb. 27, 2019, 8 a.m.

The following cases were seen in the Court of Common Pleas by Judge Martin Burchfield:

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2019

CHANGES OF PLEAS

Michael Imler, 39, Ohio City, changed his plea to guilty to endangering children, M1, Sentencing was set for April 24, 2019, at 9 a.m.

Curtis Englehart, 28, Payne, changed his plea to guilty to aggravated trafficking drugs, F3. The Court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for April 10, 2019, at 9 a.m.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2019

ARRAIGNMENT

Ryan Miller, 29, Lima, entered a not guilty plea to burglary, F2 and theft, F5. He was released on a surety bond. Pretrial was set for April 3, 2019 at 8 a.m.

VIOLATIONS

Nowelle Finger, 27, Van Wert, admitted to violating her probation by possessing drugs. She was then sentenced to prison for four years with prison credit given for 250 days served. She was also ordered to pay costs.

Jeffrey Craft, 34, Van Wert, admitted violating his bond by failing to appear for Court hearings. His bond was set at $10,000 cash or commercial surety and pretrial was set for March 6, 2019, at 8 a.m.

Devin Walsh, 19, Ohio City, admitted to violating his bond and had sentencing set for April 3, 2019, at 9 a.m.

TIME WAIVER

Kyle Goodwin, 30, Van Wert, signed a time waiver in open Court and requested more time to prepare. His pretrial was set for April 3, 2019, 8 a.m.

SENTENCINGS

Kevin Davies, Van Wert, was sentenced for tampering with evidence, F3. He was sentenced to 18 months prison, credit for 132 days served. He was ordered to pay costs.

Bailey Parker, 20, Van Wert, was sentenced for aggravated trafficking drugs, F3, and conspiracy, F3. He was sentenced to 18 months prison on each count, concurrent, with credit for 153 days served. He was ordered to pay costs.

Robert Thompson, 35, Van Wert, was sentenced on two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, F5. He was sentenced to three years community control, 30 days jail at later date, 200 hours community service, substance abuse assessment and treatment, drug court evaluation, two years intensive probation, and ordered to pay costs, monthly probation fee, and partial appointed counsel fees.

Bradley Sheets, 37, Convoy, was sentenced for burglary, F2, aggravated trafficking drugs, F3, receiving stolen property, F4. Sentenced to 24 months prison on the drug charge, four years prison on burglary, 17 months prison for receiving, concurrent, credit for 175 days served. He was ordered to pay costs.

Ronald Doner, II, 40, Van Wert, was sentenced for trafficking heroin, F4, aggravated trafficking drugs, F4. He was sentenced to 13 months prison each count, concurrent, credit for 6 days served, and ordered to pay costs.

Amy Hart, 31, Van Wert, was sentenced for aggravated possession of drugs, F5. She was sentenced to five years community control, up to 6 months WORTH Center, 200 hours community service, 30 days jail at later date, substance abuse and mental health assessments and treatment, three years intensive probation, and ordered to pay costs, monthly probation fee and partial appointed counsel fees. She was remanded to jail until her transfer to WORTH.

CHANGE OF PLEA

Lester Sulfridge Jr, 60, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to OVI, F3. The Court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for April 3, 2019, at 9 a.m. His bond was changed to $10,000 cash or commercial surety.

Virginia Schrader, 29, Van Wert, changed her plea to guilty to aggravated trafficking drugs, F3, aggravated trafficking drugs, F4, and permitting drug abuse, F5, with specification that she used a PT Cruiser in the commission of the crime. The Court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for April 3, 2019, at 9 a.m.

Sean Ramos, 25, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to domestic violence, M1, tampering with evidence, F4, and theft, M1. He then requested and was granted intervention in lieu of conviction and his case was stayed pending completion of the treatment program.

JUDICIAL RELEASE HEARING

Amber Baker, 29, Van Wert, was granted judicial release after serving a portion of her prison sentence for attempted illegal conveyance of drugs into the jail, and aggravated possession of drugs. She was placed on community control for five years, given 200 hours community service, ordered to stay in jail until assessed for treatment, ordered to two years intensive probation, and ordered to pay costs, partial appointed counsel fees, and monthly probation fee.
