VAN WERT – The following cases were seen by Judge Martin Burchfield in the Van Wert Court of Common Pleas:

THURSDAY, MAY 16, 2019

TIME WAIVER/BOND VIOLATION

William Ramsey, 38, Woodburn, Indiana, admitted to violating his bond by failing to report to probation/appear for Court. Pretrial set for July 27 at 1:30 p.m. He was released on a surety bond. He then signed a time waiver in open court and requested additional time to prepare his case.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 22, 2019

PROBATION VIOLATION

Alexander Pardo, 25, Leipsic, admitted to violating his probation by failing to complete WORTH Center program. We was re-sentenced to five years community control, re-sentenced to WORTH Center, 200 hours community service, 30 days jail at later date, seek employment after WORTH Center, substance abuse and mental health assessment and treatment, and three years intensive probation.

SENTENCING

Candice Huffman, 33, Van Wert, was sentenced for Trespass in Habitation F4 and Theft of Drugs, F4. Sentenced to: 18 months prison on each charge, consecutive, with credit for 0 days already served.

CHANGE OF PLEA

Johnathon Coyne, 31, Van Wert, changed his plea to Guilty to Assault, F4. The Court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for July 10 at 9 a.m.

TIME WAIVER

Dana Treesh, 36, Latty, executed a time waiver in open court and requested additional time to prepare.
