VAN WERT – The following cases were seen by Judge Martin Burchfield in the Court of Common Pleas:

ARRAIGNMENT

Dillon Nihiser, 22, Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to theft, F5. He was released on a surety bond with pretrial set for Dec. 12, 2018 at 10 a.m.

BOND VIOLATION

Courtney Pratt, 25, Van Wert, admitted to violating her bond and her treatment in lieu program by not reporting to probation and not completing her counseling programs. Her bond was set at $10,000 cash or commercial surety and sentencing set for Dec. 19, 2018 at 9 a.m.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2018

CHANGE OF PLEA

Jesse Blackburn, 27, Lima, entered a plea of guilty to a prosecutor’s bill of Information charging him with aggravated trespass, M1. The original charge of trespass in habitation was dismissed by the prosecutor for his plea to this charge. He was then sentenced to 26 days jail, give credit for 26 days served, and ordered to pay partial appointed counsel fees plus costs.

Jesse Hodgson, 31, Delphos, changed his plea to guilty to burglary, F2 and trespass in a habitation, F4. The Court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Dec. 12, 2018 at 9 a.m.

ARRAIGNMENT

Jennifer Wilder, 43, Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to theft, F5. She was released on a surety bond with pretrial set for Dec. 12, 2018 at 8 a.m. and ordered to have no contact with the victim.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2018

TIME WAIVERS

Zachary Hickman, 22, Delphos, signed a time waiver in open court and requested additional time to prepare his case. A pretrial was set for Dec. 12, 2018 at 10 a.m.

Justin Reynolds, 27, Van Wert, signed a time waiver in open court and requested additional time to prepare his case. A pretrial was set for Dec. 12, 2018 at 11 a.m.

VIOLATIONS

Chelsea Bok, 27, Van Wert, admits to violating her probation by failing to complete counseling. She was sentenced to prison for36 months, and given credit for 194 days served. She was ordered to pay costs.

Alexander Chorvas, 23, Van Wert, admitting to violating his probation by testing positive for meth. He was sentenced to 174 days jail, given credit for 141 days served, and ordered to pay costs.

Destiney Ramos, 22, Van Wert, denied violating her bond by testing positive for drugs. A hearing was set for Nov. 27, 2018 at 2 p.m. Bond was set at $20,000 cash or commercial surety.

Danny Mullins, 61, Van Wert, denied violating his bond by testing positive for drugs. A hearing was set for Nov. 28, 2018 at 11 a.m. Bond was set at $10,000 cash or commercial surety.

SENTENCINGS

Brian Spranger, 31, Delphos, was sentenced for violating his probation for aggravated assault, F4. He was sentenced to three years community control starting today, under the same conditions as before plus substance abuse and mental health assessments and treatment. He was ordered to 30 days jail at a later date.

Milo Holt, Jr., 20, Van Wert, was sentenced for aggravated possession drugs, F5. He was sentenced three years community control, up to six months WORTH Center, 30 days jail at later date, 200 hours community service, two years intensive probation, ordered to pay monthly probation fee, partial appointed counsel fees, and costs.

Adam Fuerst, 25, Van Wert, was sentenced for aggravated possession drugs, F5. He was sentenced to three years community control, 30 days jail at a later date, 200 hours community service, substance abuse assessment and treatment, two years intensive probation, and ordered to pay monthly probation fee, partial appointed counsel fees, and costs.

Gerald Shreve, III, 24, Hicksville, was sentenced for trespass in habitation, F4. He was sentenced to five years community control, up to six months WORTH Center, 200 hours community service, 30 days jail at later date, substance abuse and mental health assessments and treatment, three years intensive probation, and was ordered to pay restitution to the victim of $169.99, partial appointed counsel fees, monthly probation fee, and costs.

Daniel Craig, 36, Van Wert, was sentenced for domestic violence, M1. He was sentenced to two years community control, 30 days jail at a later date, 100 hours community service, substance abuse and mental health assessments and treatment, one year intensive probation, and ordered to pay monthly probation fees, partial appointed counsel fees, and costs.

Jason Gilbert, 38, Van Wert, was sentenced for aggravated trafficking drugs, F3. He was sentenced to prison for 24 months with credit for 50 days served, and ordered to pay costs.

Jacob Cowan, 22, Scott, was sentenced for inducing panic, F5, and was sentenced to three years community control, 90 days jail with credit for 75 served, substance abuse and mental health assessments and treatment, remain compliant with medication orders, additional 30 days jail at a later date, 200 hours community service, ordered to pay partial appointed counsel fees and costs.
