ARRAIGNMENT

Kevin Davies, 29, Van Wert, entered not guilty pleas to four charges: illegal conveyance of drugs into a government facility, F3, complicity to illegal conveyance of drugs into a government facility, tampering with evidence, F3, and obstructing justice, F5. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or commercial surety and pretrial was set for Jan. 16, 2019 at 11 a.m., and trial set for Feb. 7, 2019.

ARRAIGNMENTS (ALL ENTERED NOT GUILTY PLEAS)

Adam Blatteau, 37, Van Wert, was arraigned for theft, F5, and theft, M1. He was released on surety bond with pretrail set for Jan. 10, 2019, at 8 a.m.

Ryan Churchwell, 42, Van Wert, was arraigned for breaking and entering, F5, and theft, M1. He was released on surety bond with pretrial set for Jan. 2, 2019, at 8 a.m.

Landon Clifton, 33, Convoy, was arraigned for two counts of theft, F5, and one count of theft, M1. He was released on surety bond with pretrial on Jan. 9, 2019, at 8 a.m.

Travis Gaskill, 29, Van Wert, was arraigned for unlawful possession of dangerous ordinance, F5, and having weapons under disability, F3. He was released on surety bond with pretrial set for Jan. 10, 2019, at 8 a.m.

Amy Hart, 30, Van Wert, was arraigned for possession of drugs, F5. She was released on a surety bond with pretrial on Jan. 2, 2019, at 9 a.m.

Candice Huffman, 33, Van Wert, was arraigned for burglary, F2, burglary F3, and theft of drugs, F4. She was released on surety bond with an order to have no contact with the victim and not be at the victim’s residence. A pretrial is set for Jan. 2, 2019, at 9 a.m.

Samantha Lacy, 26, Van Wert, was arraigned for aggravated possession of drugs, F5. She was released on surety bond with pretrial set for Jan. 9, 2019, at 8 a.m.

Cody Lippi, 29, Van Wert, was arraigned for aggravated possession of drugs, F5. Released on surety bond with pretrial set for Jan. 2, 2019, at 8 a.m.

Charles Miller, 63, Van Wert, was arraigned for theft from a person in a protected class, F5, and theft, F5. He was released on a surety bond with an order to have no contact with the victims. A pretrial is set for Jan. 10, 2019, at 8 a.m.

Connor Townsend-Elliot, 20, Middle Point, was arraigned for contaminating a substance used for human consumption, F1, attempted corrupting another with drugs, F5, and placing a harmful substance in food, M1. Released on a surety bond with pretrial set for Jan. 2, 2019, at 8 a.m.

William Wellek, 60, no address, was arraigned for tampering with evidence, F3, receiving stolen property, F4, aggravated possession of drugs, F5, and possession of fentanyl compound, F5. His bond was set at $25,000 cash or commercial surety, with pretrial set for Jan. 2, 2019, at 8 a.m.

Vicki Young, 64, Van Wert, was arraigned for possession of heroin, F5. She was released on a surety bond with pretrial on Jan. 2, 2019, at 8 a.m.

Jason Parker, 36, Van Wert, was arraigned for aggravated trafficking drugs, F2, and aggravated trafficking drugs, F3. His bond was set at $50,000 cash or commercial surety and pretrial set for Jan. 2, 2019, at 8 a.m.

Dillon Nihiser, 22, Van Wert, was arraigned for aggravated possession of drugs, F5. He was released on surety bond with pretrial set for Jan. 9, 2019, at 8 a.m.

CHANGES OF PLEAS

Caleb Phillips, 18, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to possession of cocaine, F5, trafficking marijuana, F5, with a specification that he used $1,155.92 cash in the commission of the crime, possession of marijuana, F5, with same cash specification, and aggravated possession of drugs, F5. He then requested, and was granted,intervention in lieu of conviction and his case was stayed pending completion of the treatment program.

Troy Zuzalski, 34, Lewis Center, Ohio, changed his plea to guilty to failure to register as sex offender, F4. The Court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Jan. 30, 2019, at 9 a.m.

BOND VIOLATIONS

Nicole Conn, 41, Van Wert, admitted to violating her bond by failing to report. Her new bond was set at $5,000 cash or commercial surety and pretrial was set for Jan. 23, 2019, at 8 a.m.

Jualina Dull, 30, Van Wert, admitted to violating her bond by failing to appear for court hearings and by having a positive drug screen. Her new bond was set at $5,000 cash or commercial surety and pretrial set for Jan. 23, 2019, at 8 a.m.

SENTENCINGS

Joshua McGinnis, 37, Convoy, was sentenced for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, F2, and failure to register address as sex offender, F3. He was sentenced to four years prison for the unlawful conduct charge, 24 months prison on the failure to register, concurrent, credit for 180 days served. He was ordered to register as a Tier 2 sex offender (register every 180 days for 25 years) and ordered to pay court costs.

David Leach, 27, Delphos, was sentenced for three counts of gross sexual imposition, F3. He was sentenced to 36 months prison on each count, consecutive, and given credit for 154 days served. He was also classified as Tier 3 sex offender (register every 90 days for life) and ordered to pay court costs.

Anthony Bonifas, 20, Delphos, was sentenced for domestic violence, M1. He was sentenced to two years community control, 10 days jail beginning Jan. 3, 2019, additional 30 days jail at later date, 50 hours community service, mental health and substance abuse assessments and treatments, stay compliant with medications, and one year intensive probation. He was ordered to pay costs and monthly probation fee.

Johnny Ray Bowersock, 54, Van Wert, was sentenced for domestic violence, F4. He was sentenced to 14 months prison with credit for 76 days served and also ordered to pay court costs.

Robert Stegaman, 44, Van Wert, domestic violence, M1. He was sentenced two years community control, 30 days jail at later date, 200 hours community service, mental health and substance abuse assessments and treatments, stay compliant with medications, one year intensive probation, ordered to pay costs and monthly probation fee, and partial appointed counsel fees.
