VAN WERT – The following cases were seen in the Van Wert Court of Common Pleas by Judge Martin Burchfield:

FRIDAY, OCT. 12, 2018

BOND VIOLATIONS

Johnny Bowersock, 54, Van Wert, admitted to violating his bond by consuming alcohol. His bond was set at $25,000 cash or commercial surety and the case was continued until his pretrial that was set on Wednesday at his arraignment.

Milo Holt, Jr., 20, Van Wert, admitted to violating his bond and his treatment in lieu program. His treatment in lieu program was terminated and he was set for sentencing on Nov. 21, 2018, at 9 a.m. His new bond was set at $10,000 cash or commercial surety.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 17, 2018

ARRAIGNMENTS (all entered not guilty pleas)

Christopher Stemen, 34, Van Wert, was arraigned for grand theft motor vehicle, F4, and failure to register as sex offender, F4. His bond was set at $10,000 cash or commercial surety in the theft case and a surety bond in the registration case. Pretrial was set for Oct. 31, 2018, at 8 a.m.

Benjamin Holmes, 33, Bronson, Michigan, was arraigned for aggravated possession of drugs, F5, possession of heroin, and F5,receiving stolen property, F5. He was released on a surety bond with a waiver of extradition with pretrial set for Nov. 7, 2018, at 8 a.m.

Anthony Bonifas, 20, Delphos, was arraigned for domestic violence, F4, and resisting arrest, M2. He was released on surety bond with the condition of reporting twice a week. Pretrial was set for Nov. 14, 2018, at 8 a.m.

Alisha Elder, 39, Columbus, Ohio, was arraigned for forgery, F5, and theft, M1. She was released on surety bond with a no contact order with the victim. Pretrial was set for Nov. 14, 2018, at 8 a.m.

BOND VIOLATION

Adam Fuerst, 25, Van Wert, admitted to violating his bond and his treatment in lieu program by consuming intoxicants. His bond was set at $25,000 cash or commercial surety with sentencing set for Nov. 21, 2018, at 9 a.m.

PROBATION VIOLATIONS

Charles Thompson, 26, Paulding, admitted violating his probation by failing to report to probation. He was sentenced to 120 days jail with credit for three days served.

Dravone Wannemacher, 25, Delphos, admitted to violating his probation by failing to report and failing to complete treatment. He was sentenced to two years of community control from today, under same conditions plus 60 days jail immediately with an additional 30 days jail at a later date.

SENTENCING

Jacob Thomas, 26, Ohio City, was sentenced to 180 days jail for probation violation with credit for 180 days served.

CHANGES OF PLEAS

Steven Replogle, 28, Van Wert, entered a guilty plea to a prosecutor’s bill of information charging him with criminal damaging, M2. He was then sentenced to one year community control, 90 days jail, all suspended, ordered to pay $680 restitution to Van Wert County Hospital, plus costs and partial appointed counsel fees.

Tony Brown, 61, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to aggravated trafficking drugs, F4 and a specification that he used a Ford truck in the commission of the crime. The Court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Nov. 21, 2018, at 9 a.m.

Daniel Craig, domestic violence, M1, reduced from F3, The Court set sentencing for Nov. 21, 2018, at 9 a.m.

Jason Gilbert, 38, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to aggravated trafficking drugs, F3. He also admitted to violating his bond by failing a drug screen. His bond was set at $20,000 cash or commercial surety. The Court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Nov. 21, 2018, at 9 a.m.

Jacob Cowan, 22, Scott, changed his plea to guilty to inducing panic, F5. The Court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Nov. 21, 2018, at 10:30 a.m.

TIME WAIVER

Teresa Huff. 56, Van Wert, signed a time waiver in open court and requested additional time to prepare her case. Pretrial was set for Dec. 21, 2018, at 8 a.m.

Brian Ferryman, 37, Tiline, Kentucky, signed a time waiver in open court and requested additional time to prepare his case. Pretrialw was set for Oct. 31, 2018, at 8 a.m.
