Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018

CHANGE OF PLEA

Kyle Foss, 20, Auburn, Indiana, changed his plea to guilty to receiving stolen property, F5. Defendant was then sentenced to 180 days jail beginning Sept. 24, 2018, concurrent with his current Indiana prison sentence. He was ordered to pay restitution to the victim of $716.39, plus costs and partial appointed counsel fees.

SENTENCING

Christopher Wicker, 35, Fort Wayne, was sentenced for falsification, M1. He was sentenced to 120 days jail with credit for 80 served and also ordered to pay costs and partial appointed counsel fees.

Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018

ARRAIGNMENT

Bailey Parker, 19, Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to aggravated trafficking drugs, F2, aggravated trafficking drugs, F3 and conspiracy, F3. His bond was set at $100,000 cash or commercial surety and pretiral was set for Oct. 10, 2018 at 9 a.m.

SENTENCING

Christopher Lindeman, 30, Delphos, appeared for a continuation of his sentencing hearing for his probation violation. He was sentenced to 60 days jail from Aug. 29, 2018.

Rex Keysor, 48, Van Wert, was sentenced on three cases: theft, M1, aggravated possession of drugs, F5, possession of cocaine, F5, and trafficking heroin, F5. He was sentenced to 12 months prison on each of the felonies, concurrent. He received 180 days jail for the theft charge, to run concurrent with prison time. He was given credit for 19 days served and ordered to pay restitution to Van Wert County Sheriff of $98 plus costs.

Daniel Flory III, 61, Miamisburg, Ohio, was sentenced for theft from a person in a protected class, F5. He was sentenced to three years community control, 10 days jail, 200 hours community service, substance abuse and mental health assessments and treatment, and ordered to pay costs and monthly probation fee.

Nicholas Metcalfe, Jr., 36, Van Wert, was sentenced for theft from a person in a protected class, F4. He was sentenced to 16 months prison with credit for 69 days served. He was also ordered to pay restitution to the victims of $1500, plus costs.

VIOLATIONS

Jacob Thomas, 26, Ohio City, admitted to violating his probation by failing to report to probation. Sentencing set for Oct. 10, 2018 at 10 a.m. and bond was set at $25,000 cash or commercial surety.

Alexander Chorvas, 23, Van Wert, admitted to violating his probation by failing to report to probation and failure to complete assessment as ordered. He was then sentenced to community control for 3 years from today, 30 days jail starting today, and additional 30 days jail at a later date.

Milo Holt, 19, Van Wert, reappeared for further hearing on his treatment in lieu violation. He requested in patient treatment and requested electronic house arrest, which was granted effective Oct. 1 at 9 a.m. until treatment begins.

CHANGES OF PLEAS

Johnathan Putman, 32, Van Wert, entered a guilty plea to an amended charge of OVI, high tier, 3rd offense in 10 years, an unclassified misdemeanor (amended by prosecutor from OVI F4). The Court set sentencing for Oct. 22, 2018, at 1:30 p.m.

Kayla Jordan Russell, 27, Van Wert, changed her plea to guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, F5. She then requested and was granted intervention in lieu of conviction and her case was stayed pending completion of the treatment program.

Bradley York, 32, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to possession of cocaine, F5, and aggravated possession of drugs, F5. He then requested and was granted intervention in lieu of conviction and his case was stayed pending completion of the treatment program.

Devin Walsh, 19, Ohio City, changed his plea to guilty to possession of marijuana, F5. He then requested and was granted intervention in lieu of conviction and his case was stayed pending completion of the treatment program.

Jason Boyd, 37, Van Wert, entered a plea of guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, F5. Defendant also admitted to violating his bond by failing to report to probation as ordered. The Court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Oct. 31, 2018, at 9 a.m. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or commercial surety.

Krystle Shinnaberry, 31, Van Wert, aggravated possession of drugs, F5. She then requested and was granted intervention in lieu of conviction and her case was stayed pending completion of the treatment program.

Marissa Kreischer, 32, Van Wert, changed her plea to guilty to an amended charge of theft, M1. She was sentenced to one day jail on Sept. 29, 2018, at 7 p.m. and fined $500.
