VAN WERT — The following individuals appeared before Judge Martin Burchfield in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court:

Friday, April 12

Sentencing

Clinton Englehart, 28, Payne, aggravated trafficking drugs, a felony 3: sentenced to 18 months prison with credit for 6 days served and was ordered to pay restitution of $400 to West Central Ohio Crime Task Force, plus court costs.

Arraignment

Jody Baker, 37, Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to unauthorized use of motor vehicle, a felony 5; forgery, a felony 5; and passing bad checks, a misdemeanor 1. She was released on a surety bond with pretrial set for May 15.

Monday, April 15

Sentencing

Randy Parker, 38, Van Wert, was sentenced for aggravated trafficking drugs, a felony 3; and vandalism, a felony 5. He was sentenced to 36 months prison for the trafficking charge, with credit for 221 days served; and sentenced to 12 months prison on the vandalism charge with credit for 67 days served. The sentences will run concurrently. He was also ordered to pay court costs.

Wednesday, April 17

Arraignments

Michelle Sutton, 39, Willshire, entered a not guilty plea to theft, a felony 5. She was released on a surety bond with pretrial set for May 1.

Danal Parsons, 48, Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 5. Pretrial set for April 24. No bond set as defendant incarcerated by another county.

Time waiver

Robert Rupert, 37, Van Wert, signed a time waiver in open court and requested additional time to prepare his case. Pretrial set for June 26.

Sentencing

Stacy Young, 42, Van Wert, complicity in aggravated trafficking drugs, a felony 4. Sentenced: 12 months prison with credit for 56 days served and was ordered to pay court costs.

Change of plea

Terry Sites, 48, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to an amended charge of domestic violence, a misdemeanor 1. The court set sentencing for May 15.

Timothy Taylor, 36, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to passing bad checks, a misdemeanor 1. The court set sentencing for May 15.

Violations

Percy Huffman, 37, Van Wert, admitted to violating his probation by failing to report his address, failing to report to probation, and failing to complete counseling. He was then sentenced to 180 days jail with credit for 102 days served.

Jared Shaffer, 20, Van Wert, admitted to violating his bond and Treatment in Lieu program by testing positive for marijuana. The Treatment in Lieu program reinstated for one year from today.

Ben McIntosh, 43, Delphos, admitted to violating his probation by failing to report and failing to complete assessments and treatment. Sentenced to: three years of new community control from today, two years intensive probation, up to six months WORTH Center, 30 days jail at later date, substance abuse and mental health assessments and random drug screens.

Joshua Finfrock, 34, Cecil, admitted to violating his probation by associating with criminals and by failing to provide drug screens. Sentenced to: 180 days jail, credit for 136 days served.
