This option was the recommended alternative presented at a public meeting in November to improve intersection safety.

    From the moment my parents named me the description process began. The name was different. The shortened version sounded a lot like Cathy. Tafi is short for Tafani, which was adapted from the name Tiffany. The name Tiffany was popular but my parents didn’t want my name to be “common.” My personal brand identity began at a very early age. It’s not surprising that the value of a name, the perception it creates and the importance of establishing, maintaining, strengthening or changing that perception became the backbone of my career as a brand strategist. A name is everything.

    VAN WERT — Registration for the Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Class has begun and will be open to registrants until Jan. 31, 2020. Classes will begin Feb. 2 and will be held on Sundays from 1-5 p.m. for six weeks. There is no cost until the participant passes their swim test.
