  • YWCA to host a national voter registration day event

    VAN WERT — YWCA of Van Wert County will host a voter registration event on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019 as a way to recognize and celebrate National Voter Registration Day. Community members can join the YWCA in Eugene Bagley Alley on Tuesday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and again from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. During those times, the YWCA will offer people the opportunity to register to vote and representatives from both the Van Wert County Democratic Party and the Van Wert County Republican Party will be available to answer questions.

    On Saturday, July 20, 2019, TheTimes Bulletin published an article, “String of ATV Accidents Occur on Tuesday.” The article stated, “one of the accidents involved a 10-year-old male when the ATV rolled over. Air transport was requested but none were able to land due to the weather.” The 10-year-old male was my son and this is our story and our expression of gratitude for those who saved his life.

    OAKWOOD — An arrest warrant was issued for David Abram Ziesel, age 40, from West Palm Beach, Florida, Wednesday evening for robbing the Oakwood branch of the State Bank earlier that day. Thursday afternoon, shortly before 3 p.m., Ziesel walked into the probation office in West Palm Beach where he had a scheduled appointment.
