VAN WERT— For the past 15 years, the YMCA has hosted fun days for
students that are out of school on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and
Presidents Day.
The YMCA’s main mission is youth development,
which includes opportunities for educational settings and fun-friendly
environments.
On Jan.18, the YMCA will be playing fun games,
making crafts related to Martin Luther King Jr Day; also the kids will
be enjoying time in the YMCA swimming pool while being socially distant.
The age group for the fun days is from 6-12 years old. As safety
is the number one priority, the YMCA is asking that all kids wear a
mask unless they are swimming or doing an activity in the facility.
Parents
can register their child now (as numbers will be limited) by calling
419-238-0443 or by registering on the YMCA's new website at
www.vwymca.org.
For more information about this and any other
programs available through the Van Wert YMCA, contact Corey Clifton,
YMCA Program Director at Corey@vwymca.org, 419-238-0443, or visit
www.vwymca.org.
The mission at the YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that help healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
The YMCA of Van Wert County is partially funded by the Van Wert County Foundation and United Way.
