VAN WERT – Ashley and Aaron Etzkorn of Delphos celebrated their recent acquisition of Fettig's Flowers on Friday with a ribbon-cutting event courtesy of the Van Wert Area Chamber of Commerce.

Ashley Etzkorn said the shop still plans to sell fresh flowers and many of the gifts they had available but is also expanding the types of items sold in store.

"We're taking what [Fettig's] already does well and incorporating new pieces to go along with that," she said.

An engraving machine is now located in the shop which can personalize items. Etzkorn said the shop will promote the use of the machine, especially during Christmastime to make personalized gifts. Fettig's Flowers will also have a large selection of candles and melts on hand. Business hours will remain the same.

Fettig's Flowers is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon. They are located at 130 E. Main St. in downtown Van Wert.

Etzkorn and her husband also own the Ivy Hutch in Delphos.
