VAN WERT – The Van Wert County Township Association was awarded the Township with the Most Members (279 members) at the Ohio Township Association Winter Convention. They wish to thank the residents of Van Wert County for their loyal support.

Township government is the most basic unit of government and it is closest to the people. Van Wert County has 12 Townships and each Township has four Elected Officials: three Trustees and one Fiscal Officer.

For years, the Van Wert County Township Association has hosted two annual events giving the residents the opportunity to interact with their elected officials. These events are well attended by both Township and County Officials.

With the current Shelter in Place Order and public meetings restricted to 10 people, it is in the best interest of our members to postpone the annual Fish Fry which was set for March 31. With daily news affecting public policy decisions, it has been difficult to predict the future and the Fish Fry has not been rescheduled at this time.
