VAN WERT – At 1:15 a.m. Tuesday morning, the CERT Team was dispatched by Van Wert Fire Department to a house fire on South Franklin Street. A couple, expecting their first child, had lost everything.

CERT Team partnered with Salvation Army, United Way and Walmart to get them immediate assistance. A follow up meeting with the family determined that the following items are still needed:

- Male clothing - Pant size 34x34 Shirt size M/L and shoe size 10 1/2

- Female clothing - Shorts (M) Shirt size M and shoe size 7

Fufull-sizeedding is needed also.

Walmart gift cards for personal and hygiene items and fuel will also be accepted.

Any clothing assistance for the family needs to be taken to Salvation Army Thrift Store on South Washington Street and labeled as "Webster" family donations.

Any monetary donations will be accepted at the Van Wert County Foundation made out to Van Wert Co. Foundation/CERT with "Webster" in the memo.

Donations will be collected until Friday July 20. The CERT Team and Salvation Army will deliver to the family.
