Crestview Junior High Cross Country Invitational

CONVOY - The Crestview junior high cross country team hosted the Crestview Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Edgewood Park in Convoy. Area teams Lincolnview, Van Wert, and Wayne Trace, along with several other schools, attending the invite.

In the girls' race, Celina took top honors with Van Wert and Defiance placing second and third. Wayne Trace, Crestview, and Elida rounded out the six girls teams.

For the boys, Van Wert and Lincolnview finished first and second, with Defiance finished third again. Celina, Crestview, and Wayne Trace finished the second half of the boys standings.

For the Van Wert girls, leading the charge for the Cougars was Andrea Foster with a fourth place finish. Following closely behind were Becky Anderson (7th), Leah Brubaker (8th), Courtney Smith (13th), and Karlyn Koontz (15th). Rounding out the pack were Taylor Whitcraft, Carisa Burgos, Alexis Hawkins, and Alea Hill, finishing 17th, 23rd, 33rd, and 34th, respectively.

On the boys side, Connor Holliday, with a 2nd place finish in 11:46, and Eric Easley, 3rd in 11:49, again led the Cougars to the championship. The pack of Connor Shaffer, 11th (13:20), Reed Baxter, 15th (13:36), and Nick Keber, 17th (13:38) rounded out the top five. Other runners and places included:

Crestview Junior Varsity Volleyball

The JV Lady Knights were defeated by LCC in two games on Tuesday, 18-25 and 19-25.

Crestview Junior High Volleyball from Monday night

The Crestview 7th grade won in two games: 25-10 and 25-13. The Crestview 8th grade also won in two: 25-19 and 25-20.

Wayne Trace Junior High Volleyball

The Wayne Trace 7th grade team defeated Paulding 25-19 and 25-9 on Tuesday.
