DELPHOS, Ohio — Ira Leroy Beair, 79, of Delphos, died at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, at his residence. He was born Aug. 6, 1940, in Lima to the late Homer and Mary (Halter) Beair. On Feb. 13, 1960, he married Phyllis Rose Marie Butler and she survives in Delphos.

Other survivors include three sons, Rick (Lori) Beair of Van Wert, Douglas (Peggy) Beair of Rockhold, and Thomas Beair of Delphos; four grandchildren; five siblings, Ray (Jean) Beair of Delphos, Mary (Tom) Ward of Cloverdale, Rudy (John) Dickman of Delphos, Ron Beair of Scott, and Betty (Bob) Bilamack of Texas; and a brother-in-law, John Clark of Van Wert.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Mike Beair; and two sisters, Florence (Edmund) Sharf and Lucille Clark.

Ira worked at Strick Trailer in Monroe, Indiana, and retired after 25 years as a welder for Kill Bros. He was a member of the Delphos Eagles.

A funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019 at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Jackson Township, with the Rev. Terry Porter officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery, Monterey Township. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
