SAND LAKE, Mich. — Lanny K. Clem, 75, of Sand Lake, Michigan, died at 4:49 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at Summit City Nursing Home in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was born on Jan. 9, 1942, in Van Wert, Ohio, the son of the late Marlin L. and Lenore Eileen “Nonie” (Black) Clem.

Lanny retired from International Harvester in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

He is survived by his girlfriend of 26 years, Diane Ferris of Sand Lake, Michigan; two daughters, Jennifer K. (Gregory) Zink and Stacy (Luke) Landis, both of Fort Wayne; brother, Jack R. Clem of Dixon; seven grandchildren, Lila Landis, Ki Landis, Mason Landis, Hadlee Landis, Kalynn Clem, Chase Zink and Reagan Zink, all of Fort Wayne; nieces, Jodi Poulson of Antwerp, Kara Dirham of Convoy, Nina Taylor of Flint, Michigan, and JoAnn Clem of Decatur, Indiana; and nephew, David Clem of Dixon.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Clem, and sister, Jill Harris.

A celebration of life for Lanny is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 1 at 4 to 8 p.m. at the American Legion Post 47 at 601 Reed Road in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Food and drink will be available at menu prices. Private burial will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Convoy, Ohio.
