VAN WERT — In Thursday golf action, Van Wert clinched a WBL title, Lincolnview finished as runner up in the NWC and the Wayne Trace girls won their own invitational.


CELINA — The Van Wert boys won a tiebreaker with St. Marys at the WBL tournament at Northmoor Golf Course on Thursday.

As a result of the tie and their regular season record of 9-0, the Cougars are officially 2022 WBL champs.

Kim Doidge was named coach of the year and both Keaton Foster and Blake Bohyer were named to the all-league team. Griff McCracken also earned an honorable mention.

VAN WERT — The Lincolnview boys placed third, Crestview finished fifth and Spencerville took home sixth in the NWC tournament at Hickory Sticks Golf Course on Thursday.

As a result of the match and their regular season record, the Lancers are the NWC's runner up.
