LIMA — Monday’s District 5 tournament championship game was suspended in the top of the sixth inning by a 25-minute downpour with Van Wert leading St. Mary’s 5-2. The Cougars had runners on the corners with two outs when the rains came.

Weather permitting, the game will resume at 5:00 Tuesday at Lima Shawnee’s field. If St. Mary’s wins the game, a second one will follow immediately to determine who gets the ticket to Saturday’s 2:30 state tournament quarterfinal against Minster at Coldwater.
