AYERSVILLE - All eight Green Meadows Conference schools met on Friday night at Ayersville as the league held its annual track and field championship meet at the home of the Pilots.

When the final event was completed, it was the Fairview boys and Ayersville girls who claimed league crowns.

The Apaches totaled 108-1/2 points to get past second place Edgerton’s 105-1/4 for the championship while Tinora took third at 66 points. Holgate finished fourth with 60-1/2 followed by Wayne Trace (55-3/4), Hicksville (50-1/4), Ayersville (47-1/4) and Antwerp (34).

For the Raider boys, Tyce Homier picked up a first place finish in winning the high jump with a leap of 5-6 while teammate Noah Hasch captured the shot put with a toss of 43-1-1/2. Evan Mohr also claimed an individual title, winning the discus following a throw of 142-7.

Austin Reed took third in the 800 run (2:06.80) and finished sixth in the 1600 run (5:01.90) while teammate Owen Manz was fourth in the 800 run (2:07.70). Cale Crosby tied for sixth in the high jump (5-2) and Evan Mohr took second in the pole vault (10-6).

Richard Dunno also tied for sixth in the pole vault (9-0) for Wayne Trace

Manz, Homier, Jeremiah Molitor and Reed combined to take fourth in the 3200 run (9:04.45) with the quartet of Manz, Homier, Gage Tinlin and Reed posting a fifth place finish in the 1600 run (3:46.92).

On the girls side, the host Lady Pilots posted 100 points in wrapping up the league crown with Holgate second at 87 and Tinora third with 82. Hicksville placed fourth at 79 with the rest of the field including Fairview (62-1/2), Wayne Trace (50), Edgerton (38-1/2) and Antwerp (28).

Rachel Stoller picked up third place finishes for the Lady Raiders in the 100 dash (13.67) and 200 dash (27.99) while taking second in the 400 dash (1:02.59).

Kassidy Campbell placed third in the 800 run (2:33.00) and was fourth in the 1600 run (5:48.60). Gracie Laukhuf also took sixth in the 1600 run (6:15.00) while Kaylee Shepherd finished fifth in the 300 hurdles (54.20).

Katrina Stoller picked up a sixth place finish in the 100 hurdles (18.77) and was fourth in the 300 hurdles (54.06). Ashlynn Parrish and Tianna Cooper each tied for fifth in the pole vault (7-0) and Kaitlyn Vest placed fifth in the long jump (14-5-1/4).

Wayne Trace’s 3200 relay team of Kassidy Campbell, Alexa Campbell, Gracie Laukhuf and Sadie Sinn finished third in 11:02.53 while the 1600 relay quartet of Shepherd, Sinn, Stoller and Kassidy Campbell was sixth in 4:38.54.
