DEFIANCE - Paulding hosted the annual Panther Golf Invitational on Thursday at Auglaize Golf Course where Archbold claimed the title with a round of 317 to nip second place Kalida’s 323.

The host Panthers finished third at 327 with Bryan (333) and Swanton (334) rounding out the top five schools.

Wayne Trace took sixth at 339 followed by Tinora (342), Patrick Henry (356), Napoleon (361), Wauseon (362), Antwerp (363), Allen East (377), Delta (378), Montpelier (378), Liberty Center (382), Fairview (383) and Delphos Jefferson (390).

Cole Heller paced the Panthers with a 79 and Hunter Kauser chipped in an 80. Chad Carper added an 81 and Fletcher Cook recorded an 87 for Paulding. Kolson Egnor and Noah Pessefall finished with rounds of 92 and 98, respectively, for the maroon and white.

Wayne Trace was led by Kaden Sutton with an 81 while Reid Miller carded an 84 and Dane Moore posted an 85. Hayden Williamson was the other Raider scorer with an 89. Cale Crosby and Evan Proxmire each posted 91’s for the red, white and blue.

Braxton Scalf claimed the low score for Delphos Jefferson with an 85 and Logan Gallmeier chipped in an 89. Matt Schroeder posted a 106 for the Wildcats followed by Brady Johnston (110), John Pseekos (110) and Darius Shurelds (111).
