MIDDLE POINT — The Columbus Grove girls displayed no weaknesses at either end of the court Thursday night in a 52-26 win over Lincolnview. The Lady Bulldogs are now 10-2 overall and 4-0 in the NWC. The Lady Lancers are 0-11 and 0-3.

Columbus Grove led from the get-go and there was never much doubt about the ultimate outcome. The Bulldog defense seldom yielded a good shot — Lincolnview had 23 turnovers and got off only 24 field goal attempts (11 hits for a solid 46 percent) in the entire game.

Meanwhile, at the other end, despite a very active Lincolnview defense, Grove’s constant motion and crisp passing resulted in 50 percent (22 of 44) field goal shooting and only 11 turnovers.

The visitors also dominated the boards 23-10. The Bulldogs were good from beyond the arc — 42 percent (5 of 12) — to the Lancers’ 29 percent (2 for 7). Fouls were infrequent — only 8 by Grove, 4 by Lincolnview. Thus, free throws were not a factor — 3 of 6 for the Dogs, 2 of 2 for the Lancers.

Columbus Grove was led in scoring by senior Angel Schneider, sophomore Kenzie King, and senior Savannah Ridenour with 16, 13, and 9. The Lancers’ scoring leaders were junior Brianna Ebel and sophomore Zadria King with 7 and 6.
