KENTON - The Lady Cougars continued their impressive season with another win against the Kenton Wildcats on Thursday night 4-1.

"We talked about it this week how the Kenton match has given us fits the past few years," said Head Coach Eli Alvarez. "They're a very young team this season, with the exception of Makaela Schriber, and we had to make sure we got off to a quick start."

Schriber proved to be the only thorn in the Cougars side as she took her match against Grace Lott in straight sets 1-6, 2-6.

The good news is that she provided Kenton's only win, with the Cougars taking the rest of the matchups in dominating fashion.

Alli Morrow defeated Lily Osborn 6-1, 6-1, and Lizzie Rutkowski took down her opponent Grace Collins by the same 6-1, 6-1 score.

After taking two out of the three singles matches, the Cougars had the fast start they wanted, and leaving the match up to their doubles teams has yet to let them down this season.

"After all three singles battled hard tonight, our doubles teams really continued to play well," said Alvarez.

Paige Moonshower and Allie Etter gave up only one point during their 6-0, 6-1 win against Kayce Sherman and Aaliyah Rogers.

The second doubles team of Jada Buckner and Kaylee Jennings did their best to one up their teammates by shutting out Laney Cole and Samantha Lowe 6-0, 6-0.

With the win, the Cougars move to 6-1 on the season and 4-0 in the WBL.
