CONVOY — The Crestview girls basketball program is in great hands yet again this season as Mark Gregory returns four starter from last year’s team.

The Lady Knights finished last season with a record of 16-7 overall and 6-2 in the NWC, good for a fourth place finish in the conference.

Senior Lexi Gregory, the team’s leading scorer from last season, returns after her 14 points per game earned her First Team All-NWC honors last season. Gregory also grabbed five rebounds per game, while dishing out three assists per contest.

Juniors Olivia Cunningham and Bailey Gregory and senior Kaylee Wolford will also return as starters for the Knights after the trio combined for nearly 23 points per game in 2018-2019.

Cunningham and Gregory earned second team All-NWC honors following their sophomore seasons.

“We have a great group of girls that will battle for one another every single night,” said Head Coach Mark Gregory. “We are excited about the upcoming season with the mixture of veterans and new faces we have.”

The newest of all faces on the team this season will be Kylie Etzler.

This will be Etzler’s first season at Crestview after she transferred in from Teays Valley High School where she averaged seven points per game during her sophomore season.

Other players who will be ready step in and contribute for the Lady Knights are freshman Laci McCoy, junior Raegan Hammons, and senior Aleigh Chesbro.

Hammons will head into her junior season after scoring 42 points, grabbing 70 rebounds and swiping five steals one year ago.

Chesbro joins Gregory and Wolford as Crestview’s three seniors

The Lady Knights will open their season on Friday Nov. 22 when they host the Fort Recovery Indians.
