VAN WERT - Wayne Trace’s girls golf team opened the 2019 season on Monday where the Lady Raiders won the Lincolnview Invitational at Hickory Sticks Golf Course outside of Van Wert.

Junior Kenadie Daeger led the way for the Lady Raiders, taking tournament medalist honors with a 78, as Wayne Trace grabbed first place with a total score of 403.

Claire Sinn posted a 96 for the red, white and blue while Emma Crosby carded a 112 and Riley Daeger chipped in a 117. Ali Denny also had a 126 for Wayne Trace.

Fort Recovery finished second in the tournament with a 427 while Celina placed third with a 430. Lincolnview had a 431 to take fourth place followed by Antwerp (442), Defiance (488) and Fairview (488).

Jalyn Bruns led the Lady Indians with an 83 while Shelby Stammen added a 101 and Alli Vaughn posted a 121. Kendra Dues and Paige Bihn chipped in a 122 and 130, respectively.

Celina was paced by Madelyn Sudhoff with a 99 followed by Grace Romer (109), Kendra Marsee (109), Emma Whistler (113) and Ashtyn Huber (129).

For the Lancers, Shiann Kraft finished with a 91 and Winter Boroff recorded a 98. Aryonna Hoghe posted a 109 and Adalee Purk had a 133 to complete the list of Lincolnview golfers.

Antwerp was led by Carlie Hanes at 96 while Kendyl Miller (109), M’Cartney Lucas (109) and Kadi Donat (128) rounded out the list of Lady Archers.

Mallory Weaver (117), Kennedy Zeller (121), Maddie Bock (125), Madison Daniels (125) and Aubrey Busalski (133) completed the course for Defiance.

Fairview players included Emily Singer (109), Eva Wermer (110), Lorelle Hetrick (112) and Kelly Andrist (157).
