ELIDA - The Lancer cross country teams competed in the 7th annual Elida invitational.

The boys were able to take home the runner up trophy behind State ranked Columbus Grove.

The girls ran their best team race of the season and placed 4th.

The boys were led by Joe Sadowski who placed 4th overall in a time of 17:19.

He was followed by teammates Devon Bill (14th), Daegan Hatfield (16th), Brandon Renner (22nd), and Jackson Robinson (31st).

Rounding out the varsity team was Kohen Cox and Brad Korte.

The girls were led by Madison Langdon who placed 3rd overall in a time of 20:08.

She was followed by teammates Julia Stetler (14th), Victoria Snyder (20th), Dylann Carey (25th), and Makenna Mason (43rd).

“We did some good things today. It was a tough race given the heat, so that was a challenge that I thought most of kids were able to overcome,” said Lincolnview Head Coach Matt Langdon. “There are some things that still need to come together, but overall, we continue to make progress. We are off this weekend so we have a couple of tough practices coming and then a small break to recover.”

The Lancers will next run at the Van Wert County Invitational on Sep. 21.
